Cauliflower Hot Wings
My new favorite way to eat cauliflower! Try with my Vegan Ranch.
1 small-med head cauliflower
1/2 c plain non-dairy milk
1/2 c plus 1 T chickpea flour
1 T nutritional yeast
few dashes of onion powder
few dashes of garlic powder
cayenne pepper to taste
dash or two of sea salt
1 T plain vegan yogurt
1/3 cup Frank's RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce (not the wing sauce)
Agave nectar or honey to taste (optional)
Preheat oven to 450.
Line sheet pan with parchment.
Cut cauliflower into florets like bite-size wing pieces and set aside.
Whisk non-dairy milk, flour, nutritional yeast, plus the spices. Should resemble thick pancake batter.
Dip florets into batter, let excess drip off, and place onto sheet pan.
Bake for 15 minutes until the edges begin to turn brown and they are crispy.
Meanwhile, in a very large bowl, whisk the yogurt and Frank's with a few dashes of garlic powder and add the agave and honey if desired.
Toss the crispy "wings" into the hot sauce and gently stir to coat each piece.
Serve immediately.
