We said goodbye to our beloved Ellee Mae at home today. She was buried in the North Carolina woods where she loved to run, dig and swim in the ditch. She is survived by heart broken parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as hundreds of friends all around America. 

Ellee Mae had a full life of 15 years. She attended Plains Presbyterian Church in Zachary, LA where she attended bible study regularly and participated in all B.A.L.L. club activities.

She also attended LSU in the department of Horticulture where she assisted students, professors and faculty, especially the department secretary who kept a private stash of treats just for Ellee Mae. She loved running in the orchards, picking (eating) blueberries, and riding in the department van with Dr. Johnson.

Ellee Mae loved partying with her neighborhood friends in Star Hill Trace. Gracie was her bff. Like other intense friendships, they fought as much as they played. The line between fighting and playing was very blurry. She loved Molly, Chloe, Jackson and Millie too.  

When she moved to South Carolina she quickly found work at the local retirement village cheering the residents while her mom taught chair yoga. She also made fast friends with Bogey, Cooper, Jet, Pixie, Delta, and Jasper. She enjoyed long walks and rides in her bike trailer there too. 

Ellee Mae truly enjoyed her mountain home in North Carolina. She regularly hiked to water falls, swam in the river, and rode in her bike trailer on trails in and around Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard. She spent many hours hiking, picnicking, swimming and biking at the Biltmore Estate. She also attended Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Brevard, NC. She enjoyed Friday bible studies and Saturday Stretchercize classes. 

We are praising God for 15 wonderful years with the best friend we could ever imagine. I know you are grieving too. We would love to see pictures or hear about your memories of Ellee Mae. We are available by email or text.
