Fresh Pear Salad with Asian Sesame Dressing
2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
2 cups shredded red cabbage
3 red Bartlett pears, sliced
2 medium carrots, shredded (about 1 cup)
1 green onion, chopped
Asian Sesame Dressing
2 t. sesame seeds, toasted (optional)
1. Toss together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, and drizzle with Asian sesame Dressing, tossing gently to coat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
Asian Sesame Dressing
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 T. white wine vinegar
1 T. soy sauce
2 t. sugar
1/2 t. sesame oil
1/4 t. dried crushed red pepper
Whisk together all ingredients. Makes 1/2 cup.
